Dr. John G. Samanich
Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
John G. Samanich, MD is the of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Wilkins Center. He specializes in Child, Adolescent, and General Psychiatry. He has expertise in diagnosing and treating Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), school-related concerns, substance abuse, eating disorders, self-esteem issues, anxiety, and depression. Dr. Samanich is also experienced with the management of adults on psychiatric medication.
Dr. Samanich is a Former Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow for the Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center in Manhattan. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Emory University and a Master of Science Degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. He earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and completed a General Psychiatry Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan.
